Well, finally I have recent news. They could be good or great ones...
If you had problems with the saving slots, news are great, because I finally implemented the new saving system (using the MDM zinc 3 functions). So, now the game doesn't use Flash shared objects any longer. Saved games are stored in a local file. WARNING: this may cause future bugs, that I still haven't discovered. I'll need your help.
If you don't have any problems with the game, the good news are that I finally defeated this millstone, so I can progress with the content development.
^_^
Also, as side note, those days I've been playing a great H-RPG game.
Married Warrior Emma - Ruins of the Ancient Empire (人妻戦士エマ 古代帝国の遺跡)
I also found an english translation by m1zuki ( thanks a lot !!! )
So, that's my recomendation while waiting my next release
PS: New black dress (suggested by anon)
Thanks a lot!!! May we get a 0.402 with new saving system?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to add some more little content before the update. But if I consider it would take too much time, I'll release a 0.402 with new saving system (and some other stuff I've added to improve game performance).
DeleteIs the new save backward compatible with the old one?
DeleteYEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
DeleteSeriously though, nice one ^^
Well, I can make both compatible.
DeleteI think next release will be compatible, but not future versions.
Great to hear from you, and good to hear you've cut through that knot you were working on. Will the change also help with the memory overload problems?
ReplyDeleteYou talk about crashes? With new zone-changing algorithm, they are gone; during testing don’t occur any, even after several hours of constant grind. One zone alone not use too much memory, so game you can play safely (at least until some new bugs will be found).
DeleteMosKit
Well, that's great.
Delete:D
Anyway, next version will probably have new bugs...
Happy to see you still working on this. Been a fan for a while. Looking forward to the next big update.
ReplyDeleteOneeyezero
Thanks! I hope you like next release.
Delete:D
Can You add wasps/hornets? Just as regular enemies, without H-scenes.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, maybe.
DeleteBut now I have enough enemies. I need doing new zones and quests (and that's what I'm doing now).
No need to rush, current territory too small for so many monsters. As long as there only one zone, wasps (and other new enemies) can wait.
DeleteI ask for them, because a)players will eventually tired of old monsters and b)old monsters will eventually become too weak to cause any treat and/or provide any reasonable amount of exp.; and, when there will appear new monsters, why some of them can’t be wasps (some guy early ask for spiders, but maybe they will satisfy him as well, considering his reasons: wasps and hornets anything but «good» creatures, there even something «demonic» in them)?
I think I have enough insects, for the moment.
DeleteYay! you're still working on this! so nice ^^*! can't wait for the next update!
ReplyDeleteI wish having more free time to release it soon.
DeleteCan You please add in game black dress?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of? Any examples?
DeleteActually, something like this (I have better photos, but no time to search for them, so take examples from google):

Mmmmmm, I'm working on it...
DeleteI think I have a sexier design. You'll see it.
^_^
Thanks.

Please tell me: Where are the god damn Key´s of this old geezer! >.< I already wasted two hours searching! PLEASE TELL ME! I am loosing my patience! >~<
ReplyDeletePs: How long is this Game actually? And Will i meet the Female Elf again?
For key, try search in bushes near house, just move there chaotically, eventually you will found it. In previous versions key lies somewhere in forest, where only hidden places — under trees.
DeleteFemale Elf, alongside with Gnome, live in city, which will appear in future versions.
FINALLY! AN ANSWER! And it´s NOT EVEN from the Admin / Autor himself!
DeleteWell at least someone ready to help! Q.Q
How long goes the last version? Hmm . . . So the City is not Finished yet? Wait! What Gnome???
Anon is right at all.
DeleteAlso, I'm expanding the forest with more zones, quests and enemies.
Awesome! You live! Q.Q While we are at it: I saw at the List that pregnancy and Lesbian stuff was rated pretty High sooo will there be any Chance? And besides: Is there a way to die from ratts if they deal Zero damage by now? = /
DeleteI want to make her able to get pregnant, but as game over.
DeleteAnd she is kissed by the female elf. I'll add more lesbian stuff.
And yes, she may die by rats when the gnome cannot save her anymore.
I just roaming there almost everyday, and often I first to notice new comments. And, because I have been there since v0.3, I can answer to most of questions, only problem — my English not very good (especially tenses).
DeleteRats deal zero damage only when your armor is too high. You can «fix» it when undress Beth. Actually, easier to do this at start of the game, when you don’t have armor yet.
Deletefair enough = )
DeleteLast Question: How long goes this Demo? Until the Guard? Because I don´t understand what is a safeguard? So the Demo ends there I guess? = I
DeleteYes, current version ends here. You can have sex with guard (scenes identical with elf trader) if you have enough Seduction, after that he allow you to go, but after bridge — only edge of the map.
DeleteNah, I don´t care about the Guard, I am a Real Life Lesbian probably the cause Why i prefer the Female Elf instead XP
DeleteFor now, he just doesn’t let you move any further (but, as I say, you don’t need it, it essentially end of demo, in older versions you can see there even warning in big red words right on ground about it (and no bridge).
DeleteMaybe in future versions there will be other options. Also, I don’t like him too, but for other reason: his constant unnatural smile is little… scary (same with elf). IMHO, only maniacs smile like this — before trying to cut your face with spoon.
I seem to remember that he looks just like the Elf Vendor in armour. I think he's stalking Beth. Creepy. Must not kill... must not kill...
DeleteHelloooooo? = /
ReplyDeleteThe Gnome you have an H scene with...actually 2.
DeleteTo find him you have to "die" from rats...you can do it 3 times Max.
Actually, rats can «kill» you without Game Over 5 times.
DeleteFirst two times when rats «kill» you, Beth will awake in Gnome’s cave, north of starting area. Nothing else will happened.
On third and fourth times Gnome will appear himself, and if you want him to save you next time, you must pay him «favor» (also this rise sluttyness, for which there little other options for now, and this parameter determine what you can and what can’t do, such as strip Beth).
On fifth time Gnome still save you, but leave only a note that he went to city, so he can’t save you any more if something happened again.
P.S. Actually, scenes with Gnome — very first created in game, and many players still wait for possibility to meet him again.
Beth will find the gnome again, but it's not in my near future plans.
DeleteB-but… We are waiting for this for five years already!
DeleteH Nyalry, you broke my heart… :(
I hope your heart can resist a bit longer
Delete:D
Add a lot of quests and dialogs please.I am looking forward to next update. Also more H scenes with gnome would be great.
ReplyDeleteNyarly
ReplyDeleteThe save fix doesn't represent another 10%?
Maybe an extra 5%.
Delete:)
What you planning to do with Red Wolf? He is unique «regular» enemy, or he will be a boss?
ReplyDeleteIf he will be a boss, what will make him boss-like (he just have more HP and speed now, but otherwise he is just more strong wolf)?
If he is regular enemy, can you make him respawn (if it heed for balance, without additional bonuses to sluttyness if you repeat scene with him)?
I'll make him a boss, but I don't really have a good plan for it yet.
DeleteThe trouble with ARPG bosses is making them strong enough to be a challenge, but not so strong as to make them frustrating. The Legend of Zelda's bosses are (generally) well made, save for the Moldorm (Link to the Past).
DeleteI hesitate to suggest this, but perhaps some bosses cannot be beaten to death, but require a bit of thought. Perhaps lure it using a trap mechanic (not actual placeable traps, but an Indiana Jones-style rolling boulder trap) and dispatch it that way? It might be difficult to accomplish, but being able to walk up to just about everything (save for the slime boss) and kick it to death is frankly a little silly.
OR... incorporate some spells that slide along the ground like Star Ocean TtoE's Earth Glave or TMNT Tournament Fighters (SNES) Leonardo's Shining Cutter. As it is, I don't think an Alpha Wolf would sit there on his own and be kicked to death. The Fireball spell should go clear over his head, while a ground-targeting spell would smack him in the face.
Squark give me idea.
DeleteThis fight may be something like this:
1)You fight in close arena, so you can’t leave during the fight (I think, same condition must be used for all bosses, one way or another, for example, slime wall in slimes’ cave block exit)
2)You (for some reasons) can’t actually damage Red Wolf (maybe he is magic or something; color of his fur is strange thing by itself), only push him, but not stun.
3)He has instant-kill jump attack, which you must avoid.
4)There some traps, where he can jump if miss you, and each one — one-time use only.
5)When he falls into the trap, he take damage, or become vulnerable to damage (in this case traps can be without use-limit, because player can accidentally waste them all before complete battle, if can’t damage him fast enough)
P.S. Slime boss can be kicked too, like other slimes. Fire Rune can stun it long enough for you to move closer and then kick it to death. I suggest give them complete immune to all not-magic damage, or at least absurdly high armor (as I can remember, there separate armor for physical and magic damage), so they still can’t be defeated without Fire Rune or hours of level-grind. In this case, elf-girl must say something about futileness of physical attacks (just more details about capture of her sister). If player move here without preparations, all consequences is his fault.
MosKit
How about instead of an immunity to physical strikes. Give bosses a toughness stat that reduces the likelihood of stuns? Like for instance Slime boss is level 5, has 30% chance to not be stunned. Red Wolf Level 10, 40% chance... 20% base + 2% per level. Only bosses get the level buff and all other enemies get the 20% base, making the kicking not entirely nerfed, but eliminating its ability to essentially null EVERYTHING. modify these numbers as you want, I also am unsure if the engine your using for this game would allow this system to be implemented. Im not very educated in game development of software limitations.
Delete@Anon:
DeleteAbout slimes: it is their feature: physical attacks are (almost) useless. I suggest increase it to complete immunity so you still NEED Fire Rune, like it planned from the beginning.
About Red Wolf: again, it is his suggested feature, you can’t defeat him without specific tactics.
Also, I already suggest early to reduce ridiculous speed of kicks (slimes and bear after this can easily beat you to death if you can’t move after attack, since only possibility to block them with attack make battles so easy, and since slime take very little damage, it takes forever to kill it without rune, unless you already have big attack rating), so I don’t think it required additional nerf besides this: even if you managed to stun something, you have little time to use it anyway.
MosKit
MosKit, I cannot agree with instant death attacks. The game's mechanics can and will abuse it. Case in point: Hama and Mudo from the Persona games. Instead of Insta-Doom I'd like to counter with a suggestion of always being a critcial hit (bonus 50% to damage, ignores defence. Some games have crits being double, so let's make things a little different here)... if it hits.
DeleteAbout other Anon's suggestion of applying a 20% base chance to null attacks for random mobs... No. Just no. This essentially means you could get killed by rats. You could stand there trying to kick one of them to death. While you keep getting nulled, another pack of them could just dance up to Beth an Analrape her to death.
OK, if damage will be strong enough to be actually dangerous regardless of your level and armor (so you WILL need to avoid it), than I agree.
DeleteI think, both mechanics must be tested, so we can say, which one work better, or if both of them equally terrible and we need something different.
MosKit
Great game. I just have questions about the key and the gnome.
ReplyDeleteInitially I was unable to find the key despite thoroughly checking the bushes, but then Beth died deliberately to rats three times to get the gnome event, afterwards I found the key.
Is this supposed to be like this or was I just unlucky with the key and gnome has nothing to do with it?
Also, I've read somewhere that there are two scenes with the gnome. I've got only the one where he gropes Beth and then runs away, are there more things to do with the gnome or was that it?
Lastly, I couldn't find the little elf girls ring. First time I played the game I found it in the chest next to the lizard, but this time after killing the lizard and checking around the chest there is no ring, maybe it's a bug.
Anyway, I look forward to next versions, good luck with your development.
1)You can find a key near house, it just not easy until you already know where it lies, first time you always discover it accidentally; actually, it lies in bushes, you just need to move diagonally to speed up process. Gnome has nothing to do with it.
Delete2)Speaking about a gnome. For second scene you need to die by rats second time AFTER you already seen first one: gnome will ask for another "favor".
3)In current versions ring supposed to drop from lizard. Did you checked your inventory? You can accidentally pick it and don't notice, as I once did with magician's key: key is very small.
Thanks, I've figured out the thing with the gnome in a new game. I've checked my inventory and the ring wasn't there, it's possible that I missed the key while moving, can't check because I no longer have that save.
DeleteFor now you don’t have any reasons to keep ring anyway, besides that you can sell it (and now, when enemies dropping loot, you can survive without it).
ReplyDeleteP.S. Key can be found even before magician ask for it, but only magician can actually open the door. Just side note.
