Open door to farming...

Finally I've implemented the drop system. So, in the next version, enemies have some probability of dropping random items. Every enemy will have different probabilities of dropping each item. Also, chests will have random loot. For example, you'll find a heal potion in 35% of chests and in 50% ents, 2% ferrets, 50% lizards, 10% bears, 2% rats... etc defeated. An so for diary pages too...

This is the drop table I'm using right now (some spanish level required for the table xD).



For the video I've uploaded, I've increased drop rate multiplied by 10.

Also, I've implemented a new use for the X key. It will allow you to drop items you don't want to carry anymore.

  4. Nice work Mate :) you plan add some rare loot to the drop system like weapons/clothes/armors/rings with very low drop rate?

      All no-quest items can be found in at least one source (with a probability at least 0.1 %).

    2. I don't know how long you plan to make the game but that is pretty low, how about bumping it up to 0.5%? Also whats the drop rate for trash/sell items gonna be?

    3. And to add to the question, are you planning on adding powerful/rare items like booty shorts of the epic twerk or items that are specifically used to raised the attractive/slutty stats?

    4. All kind of items:
      From great weapons and armours to rare set of items (such as Nanako's leggins and chinese or red dresses).
      That's why the very low drop for rare items.

      About trash items... it depends: an axe is a great item at level 1, but could be considered as trash at level 8.

  6. Nice teaser with the tree, and it looks pretty good--although sometimes it looks like the enemies explode into huge piles of pebbles and gold and mushrooms and potions and... Seems like you could get overwhelmed with stuff, or collect a ridiculous amount of gold from selling things.

    Also, curious about one thing: what's the main thrust of your development right now? Are you trying to put in more h-events, or expand the storyline, or tweak gameplay? Are there going to be rewards both for sluttifying Beth and going the no-slut route? Is her hair ever going to move when she walks? Okay, so that was more than one thing... :P

    1. That's because I multiplied the drop probability of each item by 10, for the video. Enemies won't normaly drop so many stuff.

      My priorities now are:
      - Adding a couple more of enemies.
      - Adding some more quests.
      - Expand the map.

      I'm designing the game so players choose how much sluttifying Beth. If you choose the slut way, game will be a bit easier.

      And moving her hair while walking would be a good point, but a bit hard.

  7. I've noticed the wooden chests already had randomized loot. Was that the prototype for the drop system?

    Also, if I may ask, which directions are you planning to expand the map? Is the existing area going to serve as the starting point of a winding path, or are you leaning towards a region that radiates outward from a center?

  8. In the current version, chests can drop potion or gold. In the next one, they could drop every item.

    And I'm planning to expand it to the west (and in another future version, to the east).

    2. I know in the current version, chests don't ever respawn, but stuff on the ground does after saving and reloading. I asked Nyarly if/how much that may change before, but I don't remember her answer.

      The way to farm items will be killing respawmed enemies.

  9. If chests will drop random loot, can you make it sometimes spawn weak enemies (like rats)?

  10. When the tree rips Beth's clothes, will she get them back at the end of the H-scene

    1. In all already existed sexual interactions clothes not remove, just move to inventory; you can dress up again after sex. H Nyarly already said: there will not destroying of clothes mechanic before she add possibility for finding of buying new clothes.

    2. In the version I'm working, clothes are destroyed (because it makes sense).

      As long as you can farm new clothes, destroyed clothes are no longer a big problem.

    4. How's that going to interact with Beth's stat-determined "modesty threshold"? I know it's possible, as of now, to run around bottomless like Katt from Breath of Fire 2 by using the red wolf encounter, regardless of whether or not she's free-spirited enough to remove the clothes herself (and I'm pretty sure she can't even get that brazen in the current release).

      Any thoughts on how you intend to make that sort of thing play out? Alternatively, am I treating it like an issue when it really doesn't matter?

      Now, when she wakes up, she tries to use the first item in the inventory to dress, and so not being naked.

      But when her slutyness is high, she doesn't mind being naked. So, in that case, she won't equip any clothes.

    7. Are the rare item drops like Nanako's Leggings indestructible since they will be so rare? Or will they break as easily as anything else?

    1. It's a matter of the persons will to make the stuff. I'm pretty sure most H developers don't a huge calender where they mark out the things they should do on that specific day. It's more about feeling motivated to just do it. If a Hobby project starts to feel like a job it would make the developing boring which I personaly don't want Hnyarly to feel. ^^
      So getting to my point I should say that there is a progression bar in the right corner for a reason. And that reason is because he/she doesn't know when he/she will have the motivation too get to the next percentage. So can everyone just stop asking for a specific date for the project? It's just getting pretty annoying reading all these "are you done yet" comments.

I'm not asking for a specific date i'm asking for a approx. date of the next playable trial so I know when to check back since it's a bit frustrating to check back only to find what appears to be no progress (granted this time there was) I just want a approx so I can actually help with what I find rather then scrolling through 5k comments to find the problem already posted. As for the progress bar I dont think i've seen that move that much since this was first made

    3. It's almost impossible to give a time for the release... it depends of my free time. In the last two weeks the progress increased a 15%. Also, estimations usually fails. For example, I though 2 days would be enough for the ent's H event, but I needed like 2 weeks. On the other hand, for the drop system I tought I'd need a week, and I did it in 2 days.

  15. I didn't say that you were asking for a specific date it was mostly pointed towards the comments on the recent posts that were made. Don't get frustrated after checking in on a FREE game that is being developed because Hnyarly doesn't owe us anything. He doesn't gain anything from this and plainly just does this for fun. Writing these comments lowers the fun factor and the motivation for the game. I have seen many H developers try to make an estimation for their projects after getting a huge amount of these typical comments. These estimations always tend to fail because of unpredictable real life problems and miss calculations on the amount of time needed for different things. This makes the commentors even more frustrated. More and more of these comments are then often made. This leaves the developer stressed to get the game out as soon as possible. The result is less quality work and things being left out for future work. This cycle just goes on and on after every release and makes the hobby into a job without payment. At this point most developers just quit the projects or rests for a while before continuing.

    I'm honestly just grateful that Hnyarly decided to continue the project after resting for a while and that he/she does well.

Is it possible to maybe include a potion that temporarily increases sluttyness or any other stat immensely temporarily including stats that help you damage enemies..if to mix it up label it anonymous potion so it's a gamble for us lol and maybe some bad side effects like lowered health, lowered movement speed or (just a thought) increased breast size with funny dialogue -pmt1103

    1. There is, actually, an item that temporary increases the 'horny' value. And each 10 points of 'horny' increases 1 of 'sluttyness'.

      A potion that increases damage is a good idea for a future addition to the game.
