Hope the savegame will not get lost and the game will not crash so often as the actual version... For the display question... I prefer window mode, because it is easier to control crashes and because it would be possible to temporarily minimize it. Last but not least, we would appreciate if you post more often about the game progression, even if you just inform us about problems encountered while developing the game. You have many followers and this would help to wait for new releases :-) Thanks again for your game, still unique in the accuracy of details in its genre.
In window mod, you at least can resize window if for some reason need it (some games experience heavy lags in full screen, I have eye-pain because too big monitor for this game's full-screen, for others may be another).
P.S. It possible at least ask if player want to exit, when he/she press ESC button? On some keyboards it can be pressed accidentally.
I would go with fullscreen, in my opinion, however a large window or borderless window would be fine as well. Also, I think a Y/N message box on esc would be great, I accidentally hit esc like 20 times a game cause its what I'm used to for game pause and menu
