New icons

I want to add new icons for the interactive stuff in game. I did first for the wardrobe icon.

I did 4 new icon animations, and compared with standard start.

Which one do you think that looks better?

^^

  2. Hmmmm. Looking at those I would say my preference is the second (fast flashing) one and the small wardrobe one. Ideally something small that flashed instead of horizontally collapsed.

But honestly I find this animation to be more distracting than it is necessarily worth. The simpler animation of the bed starburst seems less bothersome to me.

    1. That would require the same effort than making a new game, because all is different. For RPG maker I need to work in pixel art, and SR uses vectorial graphics.

  4. H Nyalely you should release the Dev build for sexrealm so we as a community can build it:p

    1. Probably nobody wanna mess with my old AS2 code. It's obsolete.

    2. I guarantee you someone would give it a go. But the art wouldn’t match. You should draw the characters and write the story, let someone else program it.

  5. I know I'm a little late but here are my thoughts. I would go with a static icon over all that blinking. If you need to draw attention to something make it flash different colors i.e. white/yellow or green/yellow for the icon you showed. I think that would be eye catching enough while not being so distracting.

I just had a "feature" idea. You could make the icon only flash until it has been used a specific number of times (until you learn where it is) or if it is quest related and the rest of the time its a static image.

Good luck with the new game.

  6. Personally, I think I'd like it if approaching a point of interest could cause the "growing icon" animation to play, and the "spinning icon" animation to last so long as you're near what the player can interact with. The icon could shrink back down when you walk away, so we can get some fun animation when we find stuff around the game.

    1. The good news is that I finished my own JS plugging to allow dynamic sprites. Now I can change the character look depending of the clothes you equip.
I also enabled tan and body hair options.

  18. Miss so much this game. I understand Hnyarly is tired of it, somehow could give us the chance to continue its development - same way how it was done with Mario Is Missing, with several versions. Developer has disappeard since 2021 during Covid pandemic. Hope hasn't deceased.
